Class Descriptions
Hot Power Yoga
Consistent with the tradition of Baptiste Power Yoga, each class begins with sun salutations followed by a series of strengthening and balancing poses set to music in a tempoed flow. The room is hot (104ish) and the class, slightly different every time, is always strong.
Hot Yoga Drills
Led by Marissa Davis, each class will be a combination of hot power flow, prop-assisted drills, and postures that focus on in-depth alignment, strength, and flexibility. These classes will develop intermediate and advanced asana practice, and are perfect for everyone who wants to advance their yoga practice and try new things, but feel like the the style and tempo of our standard classes doesn't allow that. Will you still sweat and get the physical release you've come to know the studio for? Absolutely yes.
Slow and Strong
Angel Stevens leads you in a beautiful experience in Slow and Strong. Expect a hot room, a strong and slow sequence with long holds and a long savasana. The class is strengthening, and moves at about half the speed of a typical class at The Love Offensive. This makes it a perfect choice for beginners or for anyone who wants to be part of the studio, but thinks our flow is too intense. Perfect for anyone who wants to breathe, slow down, and reset.
Stretch and Surrender
Stretch & Surrender will be your new favorite way to wrap up your week! Expect the beginning of class to focus on gentle, feel-good yoga flows, followed by gentle, full-body stretches and true restorative poses to reset your body and mind. This class is all you need to reconnect and recenter yourself after a busy week and re-energize you just in time for the weekend.
Teacher Bios
JD
JD (RYT-500) developed a love for yoga at a young age when she accompanied her mother to a class at a local community center. She has been involved in the practice ever since and has developed a passion for the positive connection yoga enforces between physical and emotional well-being.
After completing her teacher trainings, JD went on to support students as both a yoga teacher and a resource for students attaining their own teaching certifications. JD has gained experience teaching a wide variety of styles including power yoga, hatha, vinyasa, yin, restorative, and adaptive for a diverse community of students. She also has experience leading content-based classes focused on topics including anatomy, ayurveda, and the philosophical aspects of yoga.
JD views yoga as a method of making space for ourselves on the mat, both physically and mentally. Through the practice and teaching of yoga, JD has found a creative outlet fostering balance in her life. As a teacher, JD’s goal is for her power flow classes to be physically and mentally nurturing, while offering a present, playful, and empowering outlet for students!
Konstantin
Konstantin (YTT-200) has been practicing hot power yoga for about ten years. What started as a fun adventure in Massachusetts has now become a passion to teach and help others. A Russian native and now a proud Rhodie with background in cross-country skiing (and with no background in chess, thank you very much), Konstantin teaches a class that he likes to take: a strong, powerful sequence that pushes the practitioners both physically and mentally while also encouraging and supporting them along the way. While not at the studio enjoying hot power yoga and cold plunges, he can be found reading and writing, doing CrossFit, running, and taking care of his household petting zoo (two dogs and a cat).
Marissa Davis
Curious, devoted, and daring, Marissa was born and raised in Boston. No stranger to transformation, her teaching weaves intensity, thoughtful alignment, and focused breath and gaze to create a space where yoga can do its work.
As a street photographer, Marissa learned to observe without grasping—to be fully present, grounded, and open to what unfolds. To be always looking at; but never looking for. She brings that spirit of exploration and freedom into her classes, inviting students to move with awareness and curiosity.
Drawn to paradox and opposing energies, her classes balance dynamic movement with stillness, effort with ease, and rhythm with breath.
Book eater. Kid lover. Sun worshipper. Sweatiest girl in America.
Robin Dizoglio
Robin Dizoglio began her wellness journey 41 years ago as a participant in group exercise and instantly connected to the field. She grounded her roots with her first certification and began to
branch off into different styles. Her high intensity classes always matched her high intensity
energy and presence. From boot camp to spin, her participants lined the floor with sweat. Not
wanting to ditch the burpees, mountain climbers and push-ups, she reluctantly tried her first
yoga class with a personal training client. Walking in with a confident swag, she graciously
walked out humbled and in love with how her body needed this grounded strength and
flexibility it was never given prior. Class after class, Robin realized she needed to deepen her
roots and in 2018 she received her YTT-200 certification. Since then, the headstands,
handstands and arm balances became less important as the spiritual mind and body connection blossomed. The Eight Limbs of yoga are more than a mantra to Robin, it has become ingrained in her way of life. In her classes, you will find a perfect Yin and Yang balance between
mindfulness and strength and power. Robin’s daily affirmation- sprinkle kindness wherever you
go and watch positivity grow.
Nina Ganci
Nina Ganci’s interest in yoga began in 2002, when she spent her last summer in high school laid up in bed on the mend from a repaired acl injury. Afraid she would never run again, she was exploring different ways to move her body. Her hope as a yoga instructor is to generate an uplifting and exciting space where she leaves nothing on the table, and is matched in her level of effort. When she isn’t practicing or teaching yoga, she owns and works as a stylist at her hair salon in downtown Providence. She also works creatively in songwriting, painting, and sewing; often times alongside her twin sister. She’s so excited to teach in the community where she lives as a tribute to her father who was a 4th degree black belt in Kyokushin Karate and taught every Monday night for decades. When he passed from complications of COVID in 2020, her yoga practice helped her channel the grief and uncertainty. As the years have passed, her connection to the Love Offensive Community has also helped in carrying the continued ups and downs of life. She is excited to shift again and put herself in the position of enthusiastic coach, and determined team mate.
Ben Gettinger
Ben Gettinger is a certified Advanced Level Yoga Teacher and Rhode Island native who left his hometown of Cumberland twenty years ago to travel the world and immerse himself in various spiritual disciplines such as Yoga, Zen Buddhism, Reiki, and Shamanic Healing. During that time span, Ben was mostly based in Los Angeles where he practiced, trained, and taught at a handful of prominent studios such as Liberation Yoga, Yogaworks, and Jai Yoga Hollywood. In 2015 Ben travelled to India where he studied closely with world-renowned teachers, Rolf Naujukot and Ganga Puri. In the midst of the pandemic, Ben returned to Rhode Island to reconnect with his roots and share his teachings with all the wonderful yogis and spirit seekers back home!
Ashley Joslin
Ashley is a born and raised Rhode Islander with blue-collar roots who found yoga during a time of grief and heartbreak. An artist at heart, she uses her practice as a way to move through vulnerability with grit and honesty. Her no-nonsense humor and strong presence create a space where students feel both challenged and supported - because if she can do it, you can too. Expect loud beats, a tough flow, and a soft heart guiding you back to yourself on your mat.

Mel brings vibrant energy and heart to her strengthening classes, driven by her deep belief in connection and community. Her approach reflects her entire way of living – one built on humanity, joy, and genuine care for others.

Mel loves hard and extends love to all who enter her class.

Tara Rose
With over 20 years of personal practice, I bring a deep love for yoga and the transformative power it offers both on and off the mat. My path has always been rooted in hot power yoga, drawn to its dynamic energy, physical challenge, and ability to build resilience.
What I love most about yoga is how it strengthens both body and mind while creating space for growth. I’m inspired by the ever-changing nature of the practice—each time we step onto our mat, we arrive as someone new. Every pose can offer a different experience.
Through yoga, I practice finding beauty in impermanence, cultivating non-attachment, and moving with presence. My classes are empowering, accessible, and grounding, inviting students to connect to their breath, explore with curiosity and discover their inner strength.
Courtney Sprague
After dabbling in yoga for several years Courtney realized the true power in her practice to quiet the mind and find peace on her mat in 2021. Through her personal practice, Courtney learned a lot about the important connection between physical and mental health by making time for herself to get quiet on her mat. As she set out to deepen her practice, Courtney enrolled in yoga teacher training where she found an unexpected love for hot power yoga and continued to foster her appreciation for mindful restorative practices. Throughout her classes, Courtney sets to inspire her students to find movements that empower their body and mind on and off their mat. A natural healer, Courtney is a Reiki Master and looks forward to incorporating these modalities to deliver the ultimate yoga and relaxation experience.
Angel Stevens
Angel began teaching power yoga in 2015 through a Baptiste-derived program. Her teaching style is rooted in the concept of "build and release," encouraging practitioners to challenge physical, mental, and emotional patterns to free themselves from limitation. Each class features a series of postures designed to push practitioners to their limits, complemented by an equal amount of time dedicated to longer holds focused on surrender and depth.
Every session offers a balance of challenge and compassion, providing space for authentic self-expression. As a hands-on teacher, Angel’s mission is to support practitioners in stepping outside their comfort zones while guiding them toward inner acceptance and poise.
Ben Urbasik
Raised in Wallingford, Connecticut, Ben is a graduate of West Virginia University, a firefighter, lifelong fisherman, Steelers fan, and student.
In 2022, a retreat hosted by former NFL player Eben Britton introduced him to yoga, meditation, and breathwork. The experience sparked a deep curiosity, leading Ben to continue his studies under Tara Morris through formal teacher training, mentorship, and friendship.
Drawing from his background in strength training and years of study in yoga, meditation, and breathwork, Ben's classes blend movement, breath, and conscious awareness to help students build resilience, cultivate presence, and find balance both on and off the mat.
Luciana Witowski
A former dancer, Luciana teaches a Baptiste-based hot power flow that allows students to feel free, uplifted, and empowered in their bodies. Her class encourages students to explore their personal edge, where effort meets ease, discipline meets gentleness, and structure meets fluidity. In Luciana’s class, students are welcome to be curious and playful as they are challenged to surpass the surface levels of their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual comfort. Her ultimate goal is to ensure students feel safe, seen, and at home within their bodies. For Luciana, yoga has helped her find ease, balance, and adaptability through the constant changing rhythms of life. Luciana’s personal story has influenced a teaching style that encourages students to see life as a dance.
Madeline Wood
Madeline is excited you are reading her bio! Originally from Attleboro, Massachusetts she now lives in Providence, RI with her boyfriend and no dogs (though they would like to change that.) She has been inspired by the world of yoga and breath ever since she left a YMCA yoga class in high school. An avid YouTube Yogi practitioner, she has also started to step into real world yoga classes and has found the magic of community when practicing yoga with other real-live humans!
After spending years trying to figure out a worthwhile way to spend her time, it dawned on her that teaching yoga would fulfill her desire to support people through the world of wellness. She achieved her 200 HR YTT from the great Tara Morris. Her classes focus on strengthening and stretching, and her hope is for each student to leave feeling lighter and empowered.
